This was the day I've been waiting for the whole year. It was my time to shine.I had my amazing gear on. And I was ready to go... UNTIL.... That happened....

Today was my school's talent show. And I sang with one of my best friends named Ashleigh. The song we sang was The Way I Loved You By: Taylor Swift. I'm gonna tell you all about it :)
When I first got there I had go put my stuff in the very back room. So I did and, I did Ashleigh's makeup!We put on our jewelry and accessories. It was so close to the time for buses being dropped off and I saw our cafeteria being filled with starving little six graders. I started to get a little nervous but I eventually started to calm myself. As all of the talent show members help set the whole thing up I'm wondering where my friend could possibly be. He was around the school even though he was supposed to be there BEFORE 8am... Anyways, While me and Ashleigh are warming up everyone is behind the second curtain practicing their act. After that they make an announcement that the talent show was starting. So we all had to be quite behind the curtain. As I heard the loud talking and screaming from the other side of the curtain I knew I had to stay strong. As Ashleigh and my friend Corey gave me a pep talk I stayed calm... Till it was our turn to go up there. As we got called up there, My heart starting pounding the adrenalin rushed through my body. As we walked up to the stage all we heard was "oh no!!" and dramatic sighs! How rude!?! And we were too far away from the microphone so like no one could hear us. But the worst part was when Ashleigh played the last cord on the second verse (on guitar) she hit the switch that makes everything more high pitched on accident. But gladly we continued! Hey!,at least we kept going! Everyone thought a string broke :D. Wow. Anyways, after we were done playing, There was barely any clapping at all then it got really loud. I ran to my best friend Andrew and started crying but I honestly don't know why... I guess because they were screaming Oh no... But everyone went around me and comforted me. It was nice of them. Then Ashleigh took me to the back room with Kaitlynn and asked me why I was crying,so I told them. Then Andrew and Corey went in the back room with me and I cried on Andrew again. And I cried on Corey because he felt left out. Then I just had to redo my makeup because I had absolutely no makeup left on me. Then we went back behind the curtain. Like 8 minuets after that they called all of us to the stage and announced us. We went up there and smiled,and hid :) . Then we went back to class.
At least we had the guts to get up there and sing!!!! I thought this day would have never come. Thanks for supporting me.
